And that's all you get for now! It will be spectacular, I promise :)

The Lullaby Quilt
This quilt was made for a little newborn baby girl... can you tell?
I used some of a Tula Pink Hushabye layer cake and cut it into 5 inch squares for a patchwork top. I think patchwork is great for baby quilts. I used some stash fabric to make some pink borders around the edges and for the binding as well.

I quilted 1/4 inch from either side of all the seams over the entire quilt, carrying the quilting past the borders.
*sidenote* I realized when I was adding the binding that I had never switched to my quilting foot... I quilted the whole thing without a quilting foot! It turned out fantastic however!
I used some of the fabric from the front borders to make the pieced back. I also added some patterned green fabric from my stash to tie the green of the front in with the back. The striped fabric used here is also what I used to bind the quilt.
I think baby Riley will be nice and snug as a bug in a rug with this wrapped around her :)
The Madi in Wonderland Quilt
Sorry for the yucky basement pics, but it's just SO COLD outside. I can't make myself go out there...
The back of this quilt is also one of my faves. I cut up some 4 1/2" squares from some of the leftover Wonderland layer cake scraps and the teal fabric, alternated them, added a purple border, and then added the perpendicular lime stripe. The colors are just fantastic!

The Wonderland Baby Quilt
I love the Moda Wonderland line! Love it! I made this cute little baby quilt out of some of the Wonderland Layer Cake I had laying around. It's the perfect size for a stroller blanket, or floor blanket for tummy time, and the bright colors are super fun, too. Oh yeah, and this also counts for the Joy in the New Year Challenge!
I didn't piece the back of this one, I consider it one of the perks of making smaller quilts...

Add This to the List!
The camera really doesn't do this quilt justice. It makes it look wrinkly and baggy and it doesn't really show the awesome masculine colors... but here it is!

Here's another finish for the Joy in the New Year Challenge! I started this one waybackwhen for my brother-in-law, Bud. If this is any gauge of time whatsoever, he was living with us when I started it, and now he's not. Yup, that's how long it took me. Anyways, I really wanted him to have it for Christmas, but I had SOOOOOO many other projects that were for Christmas and once again it got pushed to the side. Now it's done and it should be on his bed by now... at least I hope.

The vonQuilt
So, this one was a long time coming. I made (more like finished) it for my cousin and her hubby for Christmas this year. They loved it. I loved making it for them. It's called The vonQuilt because their last name is vonErck... pretty clever, huh?

A Quilt for Rylee!
Rylee is my beautiful niece who lives in Virginia that I don't get to see even close to enough! This quilt is for her. Brooke, Rylee's momma, doesn't like pink or anything girly (for her or Rylee) so I thought fabric combo would be perfect. I hope they like it!

And of course, I had to sign it for her.
The back is very simple, but fun to look at. Tiny dot patterns... my fave! I used a new method of binding this quilt that I picked up from Red Pepper Quilts.... and I LOVE it. I used to hand stitch all of my quilt bindings. Not anymore! It definitely took some practice to perfect it, but I think it's amazing!
On a separate note: I had really hope to get so much more completed for the Joy in the New Year Challenge... but I didn't. I got a lot accomplished, just not that many more completed quilts. That's ok, though. I made a ton of patchwork pot holders to give as gifts this year. And I had to make a few quilts and other projects in between for the holidays and babies (Congrats Ashley) and whatnot. It was fun. I will post my progress here soon....
