The Mendocino Sea Quilt

It's finished! I really love this quilt. I used some 5 inch squares from the Heather Ross Mendocino line and some solid light grey and an orange tiny polka dot for the quilt top.
What do you think? If you love it, it is for sale here in my esty shop!

This is such a little boy quilt. I love it. It's fun and slightly masculine. And I fell in love with using grey! It's grey-t -- get it? I crack myself up...

Here's the back. I used lots of different orange and blue fabrics with polka dots and tiny patterns and some left over Mendocino stuff for a mismatched look. I like it, it kinda reminds me of chutes and ladders or something like that.

Doesn't it look so cute in a baby's room?

I love the quilting I did on this one. It's something new to me. I quilted on the diagonal in sets of 3 organic-ish lines with grey thread. It turned out even better than I expected. I think the quilting gave it an even more fresh modern edge and added a lot of texture.

The finished dimensions are 52"x52" and I machine stitched the binding.
